Attend a tour of select facilities led by a current UNH student. Information about the use of facilities and some programs will be shared. Tour is approximately one hour in length. Limited space is available and registration is required. Once capacity is reached, the registration will close.

John Olson Advanced Manufacturing Center Open House 

Stop by our state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing center where students are becoming the next generation of engineers while engaging with the region’s manufacturers of all sizes in an array of sectors. The Olson Center introduces students to innovative manufacturing technologies and allows visualization of manufacturing concepts to complement the skills learned in traditional classroom settings.

Tours of the InterOperability Lab (IOL)

Gain hands-on experience with leading technologies working at a globally recognized test lab. Paid internships testing networking and data communication devices for Apple, Microsoft, Dell, and more.

Parking: The IOL is about a 10-15 minute walk from Edgewood Visitor Lot and Campus Crossing Lot where free parking is available for visitors attending the Admitted Student Session. Please follow the parking instructions in your admitted student session confirmation email.

There are also several meter spaces located in front of Madbury Commons along Madbury Road or in the Pettee Brook Town Lot and along Pettee Brook Lane. Please refer here for a parking map highlighting these locations. (Mahmoud can you link the attached parking map to the words in bold?) Please note these are not University managed lots, therefore it is important to ensure you have paid for the appropriate amount of time to avoid a parking fee.

General Campus Tours

For those interested in a general information session and campus tourwe offer an option at 1 p.m. on April 12. Please register for the tour separately from this event. The session and tour are approximately two hours in length.

Parking and Directions

Check-in for the event takes place in the Strafford Room, which is located on the second floor of the Memorial Union Building (MUB). Use the walking directions below to navigate to the MUB.

  • Metered spaces on Garrison Avenue and Main Street are monitored by the town of Durham. Unfortunately, Admissions cannot assist with waiving tickets should you receive a parking ticket. We discourage parking at the meters.
CAMPUS CROSSING PARKING LOT - DRIVING DIRECTIONS

GPS ADDRESS: 8 MILL RD, DURHAM, NH

Use the map for driving directions from your location. Use exit at Route 155A to access parking easily. 

  • Continue onto Main Street towards Downtown Durham.
  • At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Main Street.
  • Proceed down Main Street for 0.9 miles and then turn right onto Mill Road.
  • Campus Crossing Lot will be on the right just 0.1 miles after you turn on Mill Road.

FROM CAMPUS CROSSING TO THE MEMORIAL UNION BUILDING

Once you have parked in Campus Crossing Lot, proceed to the Memorial Union Building (MUB).

  • Proceed towards Quad Way by walking in the opposite direction of Mill Road, which you used to access the lot.
  • Cross Quad Way.
  • You will see a large building in front of you labeled in the top right corner in silver letters, Memorial Union Building.
  • Proceed up the stairs or ramp into the building and go to the 2nd floor.

EDGEWOOD LOT DRIVING DIRECTIONS

GPS ADRESS: 5 EDGEWOOD RD, DURHAM, NH
Use the map for driving directions from your location. Use exit at Route 155A to access parking easily. 

  • Continue onto Main Street towards Downtown Durham.
  • At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Main Street.
  • Proceed down Main Street for 0.5 miles.
  • Turn left onto Edgewood Road.
  • Edgewood Road Visitor Lot will be on the left.

FROM EDGEWOOD TO THE MEMORIAL UNION BUILDING

Once you have parked in Edgewood Lot, proceed to the Memorial Union Building (MUB).

  • Head back towards Main Street and turn left onto Main Street.
  • Proceed 0.2 miles on Main Street.
  • Once you pass Hamilton-Smith Hall (two white pillars in front of the building),
  • Turn right and walk up towards the MUB circle.
  • Proceed through the sliding doors that are centrally located at the top of the circle.
  • Head to the 2nd floor to proceed to the venue room.

D-LOT DRIVING DIRECTION
(ELLIOT ALUMNI CENTER)

GPS ADDRESS: 9 EDGEWOOD ROAD, DURHAM, NH
 

Use the map for driving directions from your location. We recommend using the exit at Route 155A to access parking easily and following the instructions to campus below. 

  • Continue onto Main Street towards Downtown Durham.
  • At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Main Street.
  • Proceed down Main Street for 0.5 miles.
  • Turn left onto Edgewood Road.
  • Proceed straight on Edgewood Road for .02 miles.
  • Turn left onto Strafford Ave.
  • D-Lot will be on the left.

D-Lot to the Memorial Union Building

Once you have parked in D-Lot, proceed to the Memorial Union Building.
Walking Directions (11 minutes)

  • Walk towards Edgewood Road to exit the parking lot via the stairs and/or sidewalk.
  • Turn right on Edgewood and walk towards the traffic lights on Main Street.
  • You will walk by the Hamel Recreation Center (on your right) before approaching the Edgewood Road and Main Street intersection.
  • Cross the street at the lights (intersection of Main Street and Edgewood Road).
  • Take a left and continue down Main Street past a large clock tower (Thompson Hall) and a brick building with white pillars (Hamilton Smith), which will be on your right.
  • Take a right up the driveway to the Memorial Union Building (MUB).
  • Go to the main entrance (sliding doors) and proceed to the 2nd floor to check-in outside of the venue room.
