What is Verto Wildcats Abroad?
The Wildcats Abroad Program is a partnership between UNH and Verto Education that provides promising students who have applied for admission to UNH with an opportunity to study abroad with Verto and seamlessly transfer to UNH for the remainder of their college experience.
Students are invited to join the Wildcats Abroad Program or Wildcats Abroad CEPS Pathway as part of their admission decision. Your formal letter of Admission will notify you of the program you were offered. Your decision letter in the application portal provides a link to the specific details about the Verto Program that you have been offered. The following information will be provided:

Program Requirements
- Earn a minimum of 12 credits per semester.
- Achieve a fall semester grade point average of at least 2.75.
- Wildcats Study Abroad Program requires a minimum of 1 semester.
- CEPS Pathways program requires a minimum of 2 semesters.

Individualized Learning
Class sizes are capped at 25 students and focus on experiential education, including hands-on projects, field trips, and service learning. You'll join first-year college students from across the country, many who are participating in similar pathway with one of Verto's partner colleges.
Transferable Credits
Courses are delivered by Verto's academic provider, the University of New Haven, and are mapped for transferability to UNH. This means with a C or better grade, the credits you earn abroad will fulfill UNH's degree requirements.

Verto Wildcats Abroad Checklist

A form will be available to confirm your interest in learning more about the opportunities at UNH through Verto, which will be on the site with your customized program.
Secure your place in the Wildcats Abroad Program by paying the non-refundable deposit to Verto Education using the link provided in your UNH decision letter.
Register for the Verto Open House through the link in your UNH decision letter. Connect with Verto, a UNH representative, and other Verto peers to learn more about the Wildcats Abroad program and the next step to UNH.

Send an official transcript from your high school to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by July 1. Transcripts should include your graduation date and must be received directly from the institution either electronically or by mail in a sealed envelope.

Wildcats Abroad Program
- Maintain program requirements for GPA minimum (2.75)
- 12 credits (per semester)
- Pathway students: fulfill STEM course requirements.
Wildcats Abroad CEPS Pathway Program
- Maintain a 2.75 GPA or higher, with no grade lower than a C
- Complete 24 credits (12 per semester) or more of coursework
- Fall 2024 in London; Spring 2025 in Florence
- Additional STEM Requirements:
In order to continue at UNH's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences in Fall 2025, students must complete required STEM courses during their first year abroad. During your time abroad with Verto, your Admission Counselor will contact you and be available for any questions that arise. The UNH Admissions Office and Verto partners will work closely together to ensure your seamless transition to campus following your Verto experience abroad. While abroad, you will have the opportunity to attend virtual Admissions events or contact us directly.
All new students are encouraged to attend an orientation session where you'll learn more about our academic programs, student community, and on-campus services; meet with an academic advisor; and select spring semester classes.
