What is your major?
Psychology Major, Human Development and Family Studies Minor

What is your hometown?
Gorham, NH

Why did you choose UNH?
Initially, I was very hesitant to come to UNH. Being from New Hampshire, it was typical for in-state students to come here, as my mother and aunt both did. Knowing this, I wanted to be different and go anywhere else. Having family in the area and making it a tradition to come to every UNH homecoming since I was 5 years old, I reluctantly took a tour – just to say I did. On that tour, there was no question that this was going to be my home for the next 4 years. Since taking a tour, this University has consistently made me feel like a name and not just a number – which impressed me with the student population of 12,000. I knew this school would support me in all aspects, giving me the necessary resources to grow and thrive into my adulthood.

What's your favorite thing about UNH?
My favorite thing about UNH is the unconditional support in every aspect of college life. From academic counselors to mental health supports to staying active and healthy, it is so well known that everyone here has your back. I have never questioned my role here as a student and have never felt alone. The UNH community has gone above and beyond to ensure that everyone has the ability to live their best.
