Hi! I’m your admissions counselor, Tara. Here’s a little bit about me and what I enjoy most about UNH.  I look forward to working with you!

Where is your favorite place on campus?

The MUB is my favorite place on campus! I love all of the activity of the building!

What’s your favorite thing to eat on campus?

Definitely the stir-fry station at HOCO.

Favorite memory at UNH?

Probably seeing Willie Nelson here years ago!

What makes UNH so special?

I love that UNH is big enough to have a ton of resources at your fingertips, and small enough to really pay attention to each person! UNH is a very special place.

What’s your favorite UNH tradition?

The Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) is my favorite tradition. I love the unique and diverse interests and talents of our students here at UNH!

Where did you grow up?

I am an army brat or, as my mom likes to say, a child of the universe. But I mostly grew up in Kent, Ohio.

What college did you attend/degree earned?

I attended Marietta College. I graduated with a degree in business management and minors in leadership studies and Spanish.

Family/pets?

My husband Mike and I have two children, Della and Teddy. Della, Teddy and Mike are my favorite people in the world! We also have a dog named Rosie who fills our life with snuggles and laughter.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I like to make stained glass pieces in my free time.

Any fun facts about yourself?

I love to travel and hope to visit all continents in my lifetime. So far I’ve been to South America, North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Australia and Antarctica, I’m coming for you!

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in your life?

I served in the Peace Corps in Ghana, West Africa, from 2002-2004. I learned so much about the world and myself during those two years - lessons that I will carry with me for a lifetime!
