Admitted Student Visit Day Schedules

8:30 a.m. Check-in and Refreshments - - Hamel Recreation Center
For those arriving after 10 a.m., please check-in with an admissions staff at the resource fair in the Granite State Room.
9-9:45 a.m. Welcoming Remarks
9:45 a.m-12 p.m. Major Sessions
Meet with current students and faculty in your admitted major. These small group sessions are excellent opportunities for individual questions to be addressed. A session for undeclared students will be offered.
11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tours of the Health Sciences Simulation Center (HSSC)
Dean's Ambassadors will be walking interested visitors to the HSSC after the major sessions.
11 a.m.-1 p.m. Lunch at Philbrook Dining Hall
11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Resource Fair
Speak with representatives from campus offices and organizations.
11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Drop-in questions with Student Financial Services
Representatives will be available to address general questions about financial aid.
11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Filling out FAFSA with Granite Edvance
Granite Edvance staff will be available to help with filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), whether it is setting up the student's FSA ID, submitting the application or answering questions to enable students to complete the process on their own.
12:30-3:30 p.m. Select Residence Halls Open
Select residence halls will be open to visitors to learn about the community. Hall Directors and residents will be available to answer questions.
1-1:30 p.m., 2-2:30 p.m. Residential Life and Housing Presentation
Learn about the variety of residential options for our students. Residential Life and Housing will also be present at our Resource Fair.
1:15 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 2:45 p.m. General Campus Tours
See the core of campus while learning more about UNH and the student experience on this student led walking tour. The tour is approximately one hour.

Parking and Directions
Parking will be available in A-Lot for guests attending the Admitted Student Visit Day. We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes prior to the program start to allow enough time for parking and walking to the event location. Look for the large orange teardrop sign outside A-Lot. The event check-in is at the Hamel Recreation Center. Use the directions below to navigate from A-Lot to the Rec Center.
GPS ADDRESS: 15 GABLES WAY, DURHAM, NH
Use the map for driving directions from your location. We recommend using the exit at Route 155A to access parking easily and following the instructions to campus below.
- Exit at Route 155A and turn towards Durham (the 3rd exit that references "Durham", if coming from Route 4).
- Follow 155A past a short stretch of fields to continue to the UNH campus.
- At the traffic circle, take the third exit onto North Drive and continue for 0.1 miles.
- Turn right onto Sage Way and continue for 0.2 miles.
- At the stop sign, turn left onto Gable Way. The parking lot will be on your right.
Once you have parked in A-Lot, proceed to the Hamel Recreation Center building.
- Exit the lot towards Main Street via the sidewalk on Gables Way and Sage Way or via the stairs at center of the parking lot closest to Main Street.
- Remain on the A-Lot side of the street.
- Turn left onto Main Street and head towards the train track overpass so that it is on your left side.
- Proceed past Depot Road on your left. A large field and a large building (Whittemore Center Arena) will be on your left. Go past these and continue towards the pathway just past the Wildcat Statue.
- The Hamel Recreation Center is located behind New Hampshire Hall and after the parking lot.
Once you have parked in A-Lot, proceed to the Whittemore Center Arena.
- Exit the lot towards Main Street via the sidewalk on Gables Way and Sage Way or via the stairs at center of the parking lot closest to Main Street.
- Remain on the A-Lot side of the street.
- Turn left onto Main Street and head towards the train track overpass so that it is on your left side.
- Make your way past Depot Road on your left.
- The Whittemore Center Arena will be on your left.
Should lots fill, please feel free to park in any parking lots designated for faculty/staff use. These lots are free and open on the weekends. Please pay attention to signage in lot entrances to avoid ticketing. Below are our recommendations for the largest lots closest to the venue for the first session of the day.
Metered spaces on Garrison Avenue and Main Street are monitored by the town of Durham. Unfortunately, Admissions cannot work to have tickets waived should you receive a parking fine ticket. Meters do not start accepting payment until 10 am. We discourage parking at the meters.

- Continue onto Main Street towards Downtown Durham.
- At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Main Street.
- Proceed down Main Street for 0.5 miles.
- Turn left onto Edgewood Road.
- Proceed straight on Edgewood Road for 0.2 miles.
- Turn left onto Strafford Ave.
- D-Lot will be on the left.
Once you have parked in D-Lot, proceed to the Hamel Recreation Center building.
- Head towards Edgewood Road to exit the parking lot via the stairs and/or sidewalk.
- Turn right on Edgewood and go towards the traffic lights on Main Street.
- You will eventually see the Hamel Recreation Center (on your right).
- Turn right when you see the Edgewood Visitor Lot parking area and proceed straight ahead on the sidewalk.
- The entrance to the Hamel Recreation center is straight ahead to the right.
Once you have parked in D-Lot, proceed to the Whittemore Center Arena.
- Exit the parking lot via the path behind the lot, closest to the Whittemore Center Arena.
- Continue down the path until you see the Whittemore Center Arena ahead of you.
- Stair access is straight ahead via the multiple doors directly in front of you. An accessible ramp entrance will be to the right. An elevator is located inside, where you can access the lobby by selecting the ‘lobby’ level in the elevator.
GPS Address: B Lot, Mcdaniel Drive, Durham, NH
Use the map for driving directions from your location. We recommend using the exit at Route 155A to access parking easily and following the instructions to campus below.
- Exit at Route 155A and turn towards Durham (3rd exit that references "Durham", if coming from Route 4).
- Follow 155A past a short stretch of field to the UNH campus.
- At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit to continue on Main Street.
- Take a right at the traffic lights onto College Road.
- Continue down College Road until it becomes McDaniel Drive, approximately 0.6 miles.
- B-Lot will be on your left.
Once you have parked in B-Lot, proceed to the Hamel Recreation Center building.
- Exit B-Lot by crossing the road at Academic Way (lot entrance).
- Proceed towards and head down Quad Way for about 0.2 miles.
- Turn left on Main Street and continue for about 0.3 miles. When you turn left on Main Street, the Memorial Union Building should be on your left.
- Make your way past Thompson Hall (clock tower) which will be to your left. Just before the traffic lights, cross the street at the intersection of Main Street and Edgewood Road.
- The Hamel Recreation Center is on the left just past Edgewood Visitor Lot on Edgewood Road.
Once you have parked in B-Lot, proceed to the Whittemore Center Arena.
- Exit B-Lot by crossing the road at Academic Way (lot entrance).
- Turn left onto Academic Way and continue for about 0.2 miles.
- You will see a circle driveway with a funky shaped sculpture in the middle. Take the right to continue towards Library Way.
- Spaulding Life Sciences Center should be to your right and Rudman Hall will be to your left.
- Continue past the food cart to your left and Hewitt Hall. Take a slight left onto Library Way.
- In a few feet, take a right down the path where James Hall will be to your left and DeMeritt Hall to your right. Follow the sidewalk heading towards Morrill Hall and Main Street.
- Turn left towards Main Street and cross Main Street at the lights intersecting College Road.
- Turn right and head towards the Wildcat Statue which will be to your left.
- The Whittemore Center is accessible via the path to the right of the Wildcat Statue and Memorial Field.

ADDITIONAL DISABILITY-RELATED PARKING INFORMATION
Those using devices to aid in temporary mobility issues (ie. crutches, scooters, canes etc.) may be granted access without a disability placard. This lot provides the easiest entrance access to the Hamel Recreation Center where check-in will occur and the first session of the day.
