When is UNH’s transfer application deadline?
Our transfer application deadline for the fall semester is 4/1. It's easy to apply using the Transfer Common App! Application review for the fall term will begin in mid-February and decisions will be released as they are finalized starting in March.

Why should I transfer to UNH?

How do I apply to UNH as a transfer student?
Transfer students come to UNH from a variety of starting points. Pick your path:
- If you are transferring to UNH from another four-year college, apply using the transfer-specific Common Application. Create your account and add UNH to your “My Colleges” list.
- If you are transferring to UNH from a New Hampshire Community College, apply using the NH Transfer application.
- If you are a Veteran or non-traditional adult student, or are applying to transfer from the Thompson School of Applied Science or UNH Manchester, apply using the UNH Transfer application.

Explore UNH’s 100+ majors and familiarize yourself with any additional academic or application requirements your desired program may have. And don’t forget to request transcripts from all your previous institutions.

How hard is it to transfer to UNH?
Once you've decided to transfer, follow these easy steps to submit your application:
- Step #1: Choose the right application for you.
- Step #2: Familiarize yourself with your deadlines.
- Step #3: Gather additional required documents (official final high school transcripts, all official college transcripts and in-progress coursework).
- Step #4: Request your transcripts.
- Step #5: Tell us about your current coursework.
- Step #6: Hit submit.
- Step #7: Set up your MyUNH portal.
How many transfer credits does UNH accept?
UNH accepts up to 96 credits from students transferring from a four-year college and 72 credits from a community college.
