Calling the shots

So much more goes into becoming an exceptional nurse than what happens in the classroom. That’s why Jordan Lavallee ’19 came to UNH, where the nursing program’s model of hands-on learning meant spending a lot of time in our state-of-the-art Nursing Simulation Lab. Here, she had the ability to practice critical (and challenging) skills often, in a wide-variety of authentic situations, with the same tools she’d come to use treating patients. When she stepped into her full-time role at Exeter Hospital after graduation, she brought with her what she learned in her studies – and beyond: confidence.
