Hi! I’m your admissions counselor, Jen. Here’s a little bit about me and what I enjoy most about UNH.  I look forward to working with you!

Where is your favorite place on campus?

The porch at Smith Hall.

What’s your favorite thing to eat on campus?

Hands down – the Dairy Bar! They are even on Grubhub!

Favorite memory at UNH?

I’ve been to more concerts in the Johnson Theater than I can count! From Jazz to Musical Theater & Symphony Orchestra performances, it is a great place to hear music from on campus and touring performers.

What makes UNH so special?

UNH’s location sets it apart from other schools. Where else can you be so close to both mountains AND beaches, cities like Boston & Portland, AND pristine hiking and camping spots?

What’s your favorite UNH tradition?

I love our hockey traditions.  When UNH scores their first goal of the night, a huge fish is thrown over the glass and onto the ice. This is an actual fresh fish! The UNH fans turn up the noise and it is absolutely awesome!

Where did you grow up?

The Corning/Elmira area of NY state.

What college did you attend/degree earned?

I received my Bachelor’s from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and my Master’s from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Fun fact: Northwestern are also the Wildcats, so this is my second time being a Wildcat!

Family/pets?

I am the proudest mom to fraternal triplet boys who have become young men that make me proud every day. My husband, Claude, is an Expert chess player and baseball lover. No pets yet, but I love all fur friends.

Do you have any hidden talents?

My children would tell you that my talent is being old enough to remember when McDonald’s added the McNugget to their menu.

Any fun facts about yourself?

I am a retired professional French horn player, and I also like the band Led Zeppelin.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in your life?

Motherhood is the coolest thing I have ever done. I’ve learned more about myself and about others by being a mom. It is endlessly enriching. Guess it is a good thing I’m old enough to remember that first McNugget!
