My Favorite Places for Diversity & Community

1.) The Beauregard Center (BC)
The Beauregard Center (BC) has become an essential place during my UNH journey because that is where I met some of my closest friends. I was also able to find my community in the BC and it is a safe place in which I feel like I belong and I’m supported. I'm truly grateful that I have the BC since I've connected with some of the most incredible people there.
2.) Diversity Support Coalition (DSC)
One of my favorite spots on campus has recently been the Diversity Support Coalition (DSC). The DSC is an umbrella term for the different multicultural organizations that focus on fostering inclusion and equity at UNH. One of these organizations that is under the DSC and that I’m highly involved in is the Black Student Union (BSU). We use the DSC to store decorations that BSU and other organizations use for events. However, I also use this space to study and do homework and hang out with my friends.
3.) Residential Life (ResLife)
Residential Life (ResLife) is one of my favorite places because I was able to become a Resident Assistant (RA) for the past two years in Christensen and Stoke Halls. Through this experience, I’ve learned a lot about myself, I’ve gained various skills and most importantly, I've connected with and met a lot of amazing people. I am also thrilled to announce that starting in the Fall of 2023, I will be the Assistant Hall Director of Williamson, and I am very excited to begin this new journey.
4.) Parsons Hall
Parsons is one of my favorite places on campus and I have recently been spending a lot of time in this building. During this past spring, I was going into Parsons to do research, and I’m continuing my research this summer as well. I work in the Department of Chemistry, under Dr. Oldenhuis's Lab. I have been fortunate enough to take part in the Undergraduate Research Training (URT) program, and through it, I’ve gained so much research experience.
5.) Bamee
I love going to Bamee because it has some of the best food on campus. I enjoy interacting with the people that work there because they are quite friendly, and the environment is very welcoming. One of my favorite foods to get from Bamee is Chicken Noodle Soup, extra spicy, and their Mango Lemonade is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had.
