What does it mean to be limitless at UNH? Here at UNH, students learn and research to realize their potentials, supported by a community that inspires them to make the world a better place.

In today's blog we'll hear from students about what makes UNH limitless for them, from academic opportunities in the field, to a community that makes them feel the most supported they've ever felt, to the ability to make a change in their own corner of the world.

Keep following our Why UNH? explainer blog series where we break down a different limitless opportunity or top ranking in each post.

Learning without limits

UNH students learn without limits, working across and between majors. With the support of peers and the mentorship of faculty, students pursue big goals and engage in cutting edge research.

UNH student meeting with professor

"I feel excited to be a part of this major and then move into it as a career afterwards because of all the teachers that work in this department. They seem happy in their jobs and they're really enthusiastic about it which definitely rubs off on other people. "

Emma Breslend '22, Recreation Management and Policy Major

Nearly 3/4 of students participate in internships or experiential learning, gaining strong resumes and success that reaches beyond the classroom. Students experience the one-on-one mentorship from faculty you'd expect from a private liberal arts college, with the resources and top-ranked research of an R1 research university.

Hannah Donahue '22, business management major

Wildcats love cheering on their D1 athletic teams, including hockey at the Whitt or football and soccer at Wildcat Stadium.

Our campus community welcomes Wildcats as they are, enabling every student to find their place. The Beauregard Center for Equity, Justice and Freedom ensures that all students' voices are heard and encourages a campus of ally and community support.
