Hard work, humility, and heart. Three things that have helped David Cote ‘76, CEO of Honeywell, overcome several obstacles throughout his life—including that one time during his sophomore year at UNH where he was kicked off of campus.

After dropping out his junior year, Cote bought a boat and had a quick gig as a commercial fisherman and mechanical engineer. It wasn’t too long until he realized that maybe it was best to return to school and finish his degree. Fast forward to today, David has worked at General Electric, served as CEO at TRW, and much more. He has earned a list of awards longer than you could imagine including Chief Executive magazine's 2013 CEO of the Year and co-chair of the U.S.-India CEO Forum named by President Obama.
