Going the distance

Joining the UNH soccer team and becoming a Wildcat changed everything for Donnett Sackie ’20. The communication major is from Liberia and grew up in a refugee camp in Ghana. At UNH, he found his place and his team thousands of miles from home. And when the crowd cheers his name, he knows he represents more than UNH, more than his journey, more than his country: he’s a role model for how far hard work and big dreams can take you.
