Shoot for the Moon
Space. That’s what mechanical engineering major Charlie Nitschelm ’20 found at the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Space to explore, space to discover, space to belong. And just space, space – like the future of the aerospace industry. After founding the CEPS club Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, he went on to earn one of the nation’s most prestigious aerospace fellowships. This summer, he started his full-time job as an engineer at SpaceX working on a new rocket set for the moon and Mars.
