1. The InterOperability Laboratory

The UNH InterOperability Laboratory (IOL) is a technology testing lab that provides full-scale testing of the devices we use in our daily lives. UNH student interns work at the lab to gain experience and get a head start on their professional careers.

2. The Fishbowl

Looking for a place to hang out with your friends or hang a hammock on a warm day? The Fishbowl (the lawn in front of Scott Residence Hall) is where UNH students flock on a warm spring or fall day to do homework at the picnic tables or toss a frisbee or football with their friends.

3. James Hall Outdoor Classroom

Outside the James Hall academic building, there’s an outdoor classroom, featuring a slate chalkboard and seats! On nice days, students can enjoy class outdoors.

4. John Olson Advanced Manufacturing Center

The Olson Center makes advanced manufacturing technologies available to all UNH students through a cross-curricular approach to engineering and manufacturing concepts. Students get hands-on experience in a factory environment while collaborating with many different industries.

5. The Dairy Bar

The UNH Dairy Bar, a 3-Star Certified Green Restaurant, serves up fresh, local and sustainable sandwiches, salads and delicious ice cream. The Dairy Bar is also connected to our campus Amtrak station, from which students can travel to locations such as Boston, MA and Portland, ME.

Off the Beaten Path
