So much happened this year in Wildcat country, from moving in the class of 2026, to community celebrations such as Lunar New Year and UDay, to sending off the class of 2023. As we wrap up the school year, we're sharing a Wildcat year in review! Enjoy this timeline of some of the highlights of our year.

 

August

Class of 2026 moved into campus

We welcomed our newest class of Wildcats as they moved into campus. They were our largest class since 2018 with strong representation among high-achieving, multicultural and first-gen students! 

 


September

We celebrated UDay

UNH students spent UDay getting to know campus and local organizations and celebrating with the campus community.

 


October

We welcomed home our alumni

UNH's annual homecoming celebration included tailgating, celebrating with family and friends, football and marching band music. 

 


November

We cheered on our Wildcats

Both UNH men's and women's soccer won the America East Championship!

December

Campus trails and bridges were named to honor Abenaki heritage

A set of frequently-traveled trails and bridges surrounded by trees and a brook were named to honor the culture of the Abenaki people and to teach our community about their history.

We celebrated five years of increasing access

UNH celebrated five years of both the Granite Guarantee and a tuition freeze — programs that greatly increase access to a UNH education.

February

The United Asian Coalition celebrated Lunar New Year

The UNH United Asian Coalition hosted its annual Lunar New Year event to celebrate the year of the Rabbit.


March

UNH announced the founding of the Hamel Honors & Scholars College

Dana Hamel's $20 million gift made possible a living and learning community for high-achieving students, beginning in fall 2024.

April

UNH held its annual Undergraduate Research Conference

More than 1500 undergraduates presented their research on topics ranging from the use of blood flow restriction in resistance training to the effects of aging on the nesting success of salt marsh sparrows.


May

We celebrated our class of 2023 graduation!

The UNH community celebrated the achievements of the class of 2023 at graduation ceremonies for each college and a series of fun celebrations, including the lobster bake and cap decorating contest.
