MORNING:

7:30 a.m.

Unlike most people, I enjoy waking up early. I shower in the morning and head to Philly (Philbrook Dining Hall) and have breakfast, which usually consists of coffee and bowls of fruit.

8:30 a.m.

I’m a social media assistant for Paul College, so I go there in the morning to edit videos or film TikToks.

10:00 a.m.

I do my homework, assignments and readings that are due.

11:10 a.m.

It's time for my first class of the day, Recreation and Tourism in Society. It counts for a social sciences discovery and it’s a really interesting course where we talk about the recreation industry, like ski resorts, sporting events or festivals, and how they impact the world.

AFTERNOON:

12:30 p.m.

I’ll go to Union Court at the MUB (Memorial Union Building) to get lunch; they have the best salads on campus!

1:00 p.m.

I’ll either study or finish working on assignments I have.

2:10 p.m.

My next class is Race and Gender in Film; it’s a really fascinating course that explores the representations of race and gender in American cinema throughout the decades. We get to watch movies like Pocahontas, Jackie Brown, The Shining and Get Out. It’s a great course for film lovers to revisit cinema with a new perspective.

3:30 p.m.

Walk from Ham Smith (Hamilton Smith Hall) to Horton Hall.

3:40 p.m.

My next class is Cinema and Society. It’s another film class, but I get to explore movies with a more technical approach. Our lectures consist of talking about behind the scenes of film productions. One of the final projects will consist of making a short film, and I can’t wait to get started on that!

5:10 p.m.

Right after the lecture ends, we have a screening of a movie, in which we watch a film in class and get to write our first impressions about it. In this course, we get to watch movies from all over the world, like Amélie or Central Station, but also American classics like Rear Window or Million Dollar Baby.

EVENING:

7:00 p.m.

After my classes, I’ll head over to Wild Kitty (Wildcatessen), an on-campus convenience store where I get my dinner. They have the best waffle fries I’ve ever had and I’m very addicted to their vegan Beyond Burgers.

7:15 p.m.

Walk back home.

7:30 p.m.

Watch TV and hang out with my roommates.

 8:30 p.m.

Go on TikTok to try to find inspiration or get any ideas for videos to shoot for the Paul College TikTok.

 9:00 p.m.

Before going to bed, my roommates and I will play some poker.

 10:30 p.m.

Once I get tired, I’ll head to bed and watch YouTube videos about food or movie reviews until I finally fall asleep!
