Hi students,
Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of New Hampshire! My name is Sabrina Kadariya and I am a junior health management and policy major. On campus, I am a tour guide, campus ambassador, dean’s ambassador for the College of Health and Human Services and a diversity ambassador coordinator. Admitted Student Visit Day is coming up, and I hope you attend to get a better idea of UNH and how your story would fit in here.
I attended my Admitted Student Visit Day because I was accepted into 15 other schools and wanted to make sure that the university I chose would be the best fit for me. I remember my Admitted Student Visit Day was insightful because my college (College of Health and Human Services) hosted information sessions on each major, which helped me narrow down my options since I was coming in to UNH undecided. From these information sessions, I thought that a clinical path would be right for me when I came in, so that also helped me pick my classes when I came into school.
Being undeclared, I was expecting to feel a little out of place, but I was greeted by so many other students that were also undeclared when they started at UNH. They taught me a couple of UNH traditions so that I would be prepared when I came to campus! Getting to know these two things made me feel welcome.
I attended my admitted student visit day virtually, but even through a computer screen I could feel how strong the community is at UNH — and that ultimately helped me choose UNH.
UNH tour guides are excited to welcome you to campus for Admitted Student Visit Day. Here’s their 90-second explainer of why you should attend.
