Call of the Wild
Owen Kanter ’20 is a conservation biologist on a mission: to protect the wild places and species he loves for future generations. Kanter came to UNH for its outdoor-oriented community and unparalleled research opportunities. As an undergraduate, he got involved in two graduate-level research projects, the first studying shrubland birds and the second tracking New Hampshire’s moose population. Today, he’s ventured west, landing a job at the Idaho Fish and Game Department, where he’ll help protect the state’s wildlife diversity.
