Learn more about 10 of Teagan's favorite things about being a UNH student:
1. Amazing Academic Experiences
"Something about UNH that most people don't know is the number of opportunities there are on campus. I came in and automatically found so many different things. There are so many opportunities within academics, research and internships. UNH gives you so many possibilities to do whatever you could think of."

2. Outdoor Fun in All Seasons
"When it snows and everyone goes sledding at Library Hill, the campus atmosphere just feels so happy. Then, when there's good weather, everyone's outside. I just like how outdoorsy everyone is."

3. The Ability to Challenge Yourself
"Being part of the Honors Program really shaped my time at UNH. They make specific honors classes that are a little bit more in-depth and do more discussion-based classes, which is how I prefer to learn."

4. A Strong Sense of Community
"I joined the track team and I definitely have a community there. Every year it's gotten better and better to the point where I love my teammates. That group has gotten me through my time here and my coaches are absolutely amazing and encourage all my academics."
5. Study Abroad Opportunities
"I did study abroad in Valencia. It was a full language immersion program. So, I was completely speaking in Spanish. I had a host family speaking Spanish to me. All my classes were in Spanish, and I could honestly feel my skills skyrocket. It was just really cool to be immersed in other cultures and to see how they live."

6. A Feeling of Home
"My freshman year, I was in the Honors dorm, and I found all my friends on my floor or throughout it because we just had open doors. Leaving your door open was just the floor culture at the time and so I just found my friends across the hall."

7. Unique Traditions
"I love at the hockey games when they toss the fish out. I think that's really funny. My family always asks what's happening."

8. Intriguing Class Discussions
"My favorite class I've taken so far is Philosophy of Law and Justice with Professor Nick Smith. It was by far the coolest class I've taken, because he made it an environment where we could talk about political opinions and takes without getting mad at each other."
9. Academic Support
"Every professor I've had has been super accommodating. Lori Hopkins is my Spanish advisor and one of the professors in the Spanish department, so I've worked closely with her."

10. Self-Growth
"The advice I would give to my freshman self is just to try it all. It's also important to make sure you understand what your limits are, and that it's okay to say no or back out of things."
