How will my student ask for help on campus?
If your student needs help or is in an emergency situation, how will they reach out for help? Look into whether a school offers immediate ways to contact campus police, no matter where your student is on campus. Our UNH Police Department is known for its exceptional public safety services and students can connect to the police directly through RAVE Guardian or the uSafeUS app, right from their phones. There are also blue light emergency telephones stationed all around our campus, so students can immediately contact the police no matter where they are.

Take a look at what services are offered so your student can safely return to their residence hall from a late-night study session or club meeting. UNH offers police walking escorts for all students anywhere on campus.

How will my student be notified in an emergency situation?
Find out how and when your student will be notified if an emergency situation arises on campus. While we don’t expect emergencies on our UNH campus, we are prepared for all situations where knowledge and preparation can affect the outcome. That’s why we have a campus alert system, which all members of our community can sign up for, and an action plan for an active shooter situation.
