Every November, an important Wildcat tradition is expressing our #unhthanks. In that spirit of gratitude, the UNH social media team wanted to share with prospective students some of the reasons we are grateful for this incredible community.
First though, we asked students around campus what they are thankful for as part of Cat Chats, a weekly Instagram series hosted by #UNHSocial. Here’s what some of them said:

“I’m thankful to be spending Thanksgiving with my family this year.”
-Annie ’24
“I’m thankful for my exams to be over.”
-Cassidy ’24
“I’m thankful for all the friends I’ve made at UNH.”
-Megan ’22
“I’m thankful for my family and friends.”
-Ben ’24
Then, we asked ourselves. Here’s a brief overview of what #UNHSocial is grateful for right now.

We are thankful for sunny weather at Wildcat tailgates and afternoons on Thompson Hall lawn amidst the fall foliage. For peaceful walks in College Woods and across our beautiful campus. For the views along New Hampshire’s coast and up in the White Mountains.
We are thankful for the opportunity to study what we love. For our academic resources and favorite study spaces. For every advisor who goes above and beyond and every professor who offers opportunities we wouldn’t have found otherwise.
We are thankful for the Dimond Library, Paul College Courtyard and everywhere Wildcats can collaborate and accelerate their careers. For our housing and dining staff and our resident and community assistants. For sorority sisters and roommates. For making our home in the greater Durham community.

We are thankful for the friends we’ve made this semester and throughout our college experience. For great classmates and teammates. For being able to share what we love about UNH with prospective students.
Now, it’s your turn. The #UNHSocial team encourages you to share what you’re thankful for using the hashtag #UNHThanks. We wish you safe travels over break, good luck with the end of your semester and a happy Thanksgiving!
