The Department of Music has opportunities for music majors and non-music majors alike. If you are interested in majoring in music, experience a day in the life of a music major at the University of New Hampshire. You will observe classes and rehearsals, dine with music students in one of our award-winning dining halls, and tour the music facilities. Schedule- and availability-permitting, you may also be able to take a complimentary lesson with a studio teacher on your primary instrument or voice.

If you plan to continue making music in college while majoring in something else, take advantage of the opportunity to attend one of our large ensemble rehearsals, meet the director, and talk to other non-music major students about their experiences in the ensembles.

All attendees are encouraged to sign up for a campus tour, convienently offered directly before and/or after the academic info sessions.

Arrive & Meet UNH Music student that you will shadow for the day
10:10 a.m.
Sit in on Music Theory class.
11:10 a.m.
Observe Wind Symphony or Chamber Singers rehearsal.
12:30 p.m.
Join UNH Music student for lunch at one of our award-winning dining halls.
2:10 p.m.
Sit in on Ear Training class.

Tuesday or Thursday Visit Schedule

10:30 a.m.
Arrive & Meet UNH Music student that you will shadow for the day
Possibility to arrive earlier for complimentary lesson, pending availability of studio teacher.
11:10 a.m.
Observe Symphony Orchestra rehearsal.
12:30 p.m.
Join UNH Music student for lunch at one of our award-winning dining halls.
Studio Class (Tuesdays) or Student Recital (Thursdays)

Certain studios meet on different days or at different time.

Depart or stick around for optional additional rehearsals to observe!.
