Every spring, we welcome prospective Wildcats to UNH for a day of programming.  Whether you are just beginning your college search or considering transferring to UNH,  join us to meet with members of the UNH admissions team, explore our beautiful campus, and learn more about our academic programs.

  • 10–10:45 a.m. Choose your academic session(s) first to plan the rest of your day:

     Academics at UNH, 1st Session
     Attend a broad overview of academics for one of the following college divisions:
     College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (List of Majors

  • 11–11:30 a.m. Student Panel, 1st Session
    Granite State Room, Memorial Union Building (MUB)

    Panel offered for guests interested in only attending the Academics at UNH, 1st Session. Hear from current students about student life and other topics selected by the audience in attendance.

  • 11:00 a.m.–11:45 p.m. For students with academic interest in another college division: 
    For this session, go to the college division where your second choice major is located. Click list of majors below.

     Attend a broad overview of academics for one of the following college divisions:

    Staff from the Financial Department will be available to address any financial aid related-questions.

    Holloway Commons Dining Hall 

    This time is ideal for guests who attended Academics at UNH, 1st Session. Free meal tickets will be provided for prospective students and their guest(s).

  • 12–12:30 p.m. Student Panel, 2nd Session
    Granite State Room, Memorial Union Building (MUB)

    Panel offered for guests interested in attending the Academics at UNH, 1st & 2nd Session. Hear from current students about student life and other topics selected by the audience in attendance.

  • 12:45 p.m.–1:45 p.m. Lunch at Holloway Commons (HoCo)

    This time is ideal for guests who attended Academics at UNH, 1st & 2nd Session. Free meal tickets will be provided for prospective students and their guest(s

  • 1–2 p.m. General Campus Tour, 1st Session 
     Tour departs from the Granite State Room, Memorial Union Building (MUB) 
     The campus tour provides an opportunity to see the student union, an academic building, a residence hall, the recreation facility, and other student-centered spaces.  The tour will take approximately 60 minutes.

  • 2–3 p.m. General Campus Tour, 2nd Session 
     Tour departs from the Granite State Room, Memorial Union Building (MUB) 
     The campus tour provides an opportunity to see the student union, an academic building, a residence hall, the recreation facility, and other student-centered spaces.  The tour will take approximately 60 minutes.

College of Life Science and Agriculture (COLSA) 
Take a closer look into life as a student at the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (COLSA) during a 60-minute college-specific tour. Led by current COLSA undergraduates, the tours will give you the opportunity to learn more about college-specific majors, facilities and resources, research opportunities, student organizations, and more.

College of Engineering and Physical Science (CEPS)
Visitors to the College of Engineering and Physical Science facility tours will learn more about academic programs and services within the college, visit our student project wing and other state of the art labs while also getting the opportunity to meet students and staff from our Career and Professional Success team.

Parking and Directions

Parking will be available in B-Lot for guest (s) attending the Prospective Student Visit Day. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the program start to allow enough time for parking and walking to the event location. The event check-in is the Granite State Room, located on the second floor of the Memorial Union Building (MUB). Use the directions below to navigate from B-Lot to the MUB.

B-Lot Driving Directions
GPS Address: B Lot, Mcdaniel Drive, Durham, NH

 

Use the map for driving directions from your location. We recommend using the exit at Route 155A to access parking easily and following the instructions to campus below. 

  • Exit at Route 155A and turn towards Durham (3rd exit that references "Durham", if coming from Route 4).
  • Follow 155A past a short stretch of field to the UNH campus.
  • At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit to continue on Main Street.
  • Take a right at the traffic lights onto College Road.
  • Continue down College Road until it becomes McDaniel Drive, approximately 0.6 miles.
  • B-Lot will be on your left.

B-LOT TO THE MEMORIAL UNION BUILDING

Once you have parked in B-Lot, proceed to the Memorial Union Building.

  • Exit B-Lot by crossing the road at Academic Way (lot entrance).
  • Proceed towards Academic Way and Quad Way.
  • Once on Academic Way, cross the street and walk towards 10 Academic Way.
  • Take a right on the pedestrian pathway that is immediately to the left of 10 Academic Way.
  • Residence Halls will be to your right and landscape to your left.
  • Proceed down the pathway until you reach a ramp.
  • Go up the ramp to enter the Memorial Union Building.
  • An elevator is available straight ahead to the left. Stairs are located to the right.
  • Proceed to the 2nd floor to check-in outside the Granite State Room.

Should lots fill, please feel free to park in any parking lots designated for faculty/staff use. These lots are free and open on the weekends. Please pay attention to signage in lot entrances to avoid ticketing. Below are our recommendations for the largest lots closest to the venue for the first session of the day.

Metered spaces on Garrison Avenue and Main Street are monitored by the town of Durham. Unfortunately, Admissions cannot work to have tickets waived should you receive a parking fine ticket. Meters do not start accepting payment until 10 am. We discourage parking at the meters.

A-LOT DRIVING DIRECTIONS
GPS ADDRESS: 15 GABLES WAY, DURHAM, NH


Use the map for driving directions from your location. We recommend using the exit at Route 155A to access parking easily and following the instructions to campus below.

  • Exit at Route 155A and turn towards Durham (the 3rd exit that references "Durham", if coming from Route 4).
  • Follow 155A past a short stretch of fields to continue to the UNH campus.
  • At the traffic circle, take the third exit onto North Drive and continue for 0.1 miles.
  • Turn right onto Sage Way and continue for 0.2 miles.
  • At the stop sign, turn left onto Gable Way. The parking lot will be on your right.

A LOT TO THE MEMORIAL UNION BUILDING

Once you have parked in A-Lot, proceed to the Memorial Union Building.
Walking Directions (13 minutes)

  • Walk to Main street via the stairs or sidewalk.
  • Turn left and walk towards the traffic lights. You will see the Wildcat Statue and the Whittemore Center Arena on your left as you walk up Main Street.
  • Cross the street at the lights (intersection of Main Street and College Road).
  • Continue down Main Street past a large clock tower (Thompson Hall) and a brick building with white pillars (Hamilton Smith), which will be on your right.
  • Take a right up the driveway to the Memorial Union Building (MUB).
  • Go to the main entrance (sliding doors) and proceed to the 2nd floor to check-in outside the Granite State Room.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING (STATE-ISSUED HANDICAP PLACARD OR LICENSE PLATE ONLY.)

ADDITIONAL DISABILITY-RELATED PARKING INFORMATION

Accessible spaces can be found in every campus parking lot except for A Lot and Mast Road Lot. The closest accessible spots to the Memorial Union Building, where the first session of the day is occurring, are noted below. Please proceed to the Memorial Union Building after parking.
