Directions to Admissions Office
The directions below are for those wishing to visit the UNH Admissions Office at Smith Hall, 3 Garrison Ave; Durham, NH. Should you be visiting UNH for any other purpose, please proceed to the Visitor’s Center for instructions as to where to park. Please note, the Visitor Center sign you will see after coming through the small traffic circle is not for Admissions Visitors. Admissions Parking and the Admissions Office are not located at the Visitor Center.
A parking permit is required for the Admissions Office lot (H-Lot). Please see the receptionist in the Admissions Office at Smith Hall to obtain a permit.
From Boston, MA
Driving Time: ~90 minutes
Follow I-95 North to Exit 4 for in N.H. (N.H. Lakes and Mountains/Spaulding Turnpike). Exit 4 off 95 north is a left hand exit. Continue North to Exit 6W and follow Route 4 west for approximately 6 miles. Exit at Route 155A and turn left towards Durham (the 3rd exit that references "Durham") then turn left. Follow 155A past a short stretch of field to the UNH campus. Follow directions below to the Admissions Parking.
From Portland, ME
Driving Time: ~60 minutes
Follow I-95 South to Exit 5 in N.H. (Spaulding Turnpike). Continue North to Exit 6W and follow Route 4 west for approximately 6 miles. Exit at Route 155A (the 3rd exit that references "Durham") then turn left towards Durham. Follow 155A past a short stretch of field to the UNH campus. Follow directions below to Admissions Parking.
From Concord, N.H.
Driving Time: ~45 minutes
Take Route 4 east to the Route 155A exit (the first Durham exit) and then turn right towards Durham. Follow 155A past a short stretch of field to the UNH campus. Follow directions below to the Admissions Parking.
From Manchester, N.H.
Driving Time: ~45 minutes
Take Route 101 east to Exit 7 (Epping/Route 125). Continue north on Route 125 to the Lee Traffic Circle. Drive east on Route 4 to the Route 155A exit (the 1st Durham exit) then turn right towards Durham. Follow 155A past a short stretch of field to the UNH campus. Follow directions below to the Admissions Parking.
Directions to the Admissions Office (Smith Hall):
There is no visitor parking at Smith Hall. Please proceed to H-Lot. On 155A (Main Street) pass through one traffic light at the College Road intersection. Take your first left onto Edgewood Road, then your first left into Admissions visitor parking in H-Lot (across the street from McLaughlin and Congreve Halls). The parking booth attendant will view your parking permit and direct you to the Admissions visitor parking area.
Pedestrian Directions from H-Lot to the Admissions Office in Smith Hall: Proceed back to Main Street and turn left onto Main Street. Proceed 0.2 miles on Main Street. Smith Hall is on the left at the intersection of Main Street and Garrison Avenue.
Accessible parking for people with disabilities can be found in H-Lot. There are also three marked accessible spaces behind Smith Hall off of Ballard Street. A state-issued accessible placard is required to park in these spaces.
