Room & Board*

*Room & Board amount is based on double occupancy room and core meal plan

As you calculate your costs, don’t forget to include books, supplies, transportation and miscellaneous expenses—we estimate they’ll run around $4,500, although it varies by student. You can find answers to most Tuition questions on our Business Services website.

Your fall tuition bill will be posted on your MyUNH account in mid-July; payment is due August 10, 2019. Learn more about your payment options, or contact the Business Services Office at 603-862-2230.

Financial Aid

If you’re applying for financial aid, Step One is submitting the 2018-2019 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) before March 1. Visit to apply online (the UNH Title IV code is 002589).

Step Two is logging into your MyUNH account to get updates on the status of your financial aid application and, when all requirements are met, your actual financial aid award package. For further information, visit the UNH Financial Aid website, or contact our office at 603-862-3600.

When you apply to UNH, you are automatically considered for the Presidential and Dean’s merit scholarships; New Hampshire residents who apply Early Action are also considered for the Hamel Scholarship and the Governor’s Success Scholarship. No additional application or essay is required, but students must meet all the scholarship criteria, and selection is very competitive. Students admitted to the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences may apply for an Industry Scholarship.

UNH also offers financial assistance to student athletes. Our director of athletics, in consultation with the appropriate coaches, recommends the recipients and amount of awards. You can contact the Athletic Department directly at 603-862-3900 to learn more.

The Alumni Association sponsors a series of scholarships designed to recognize and foster the values of leadership and academic excellence at UNH. Learn how to apply for them. Since 2001, the UNH Parents Association has also been awarding scholarships. Scholarship criteria and the application are available online.

The Financial Aid Office maintains a list of other scholarships available to UNH students.
