A Passion for Philosophy On and Off the Field

Four years ago, if you had asked Nathaniel Hunt ’22 if he wanted to be in business, he would have said no. Today, his answer is just the opposite. As a freshman and student-athlete at UNH, Hunt had the idea to insert a small device at the end of a lacrosse stick that would track diagnostic information —like shot speed, repetition and angle of release. With this knowledge, lacrosse players would get the help they need to improve their game and help coaches know what to focus on. One day, he decided to bring the idea to the ECenter where his dream developed into SPAITR™—a sports AI tracker that’s garnering the attention of businesses and lacrosse programs.
