As you start your college search, you know this is an exciting time. You are thinking about where you will go to take the next steps in your educational journey! You’re searching for a place you can call home, a place where you will feel safe and supported by your campus community, and a place where you’ll be able to grow and push yourself outside of your comfort zone. It’s likely you’re asking yourself questions like: what will I major in? What will life be like outside the classroom? Will I have access to opportunities that will prepare me to enter my career field?

As you think about where you see yourself spending the next four years—and what you’ll be doing when you get there—I want you to know, it’s okay not to have all the answers right now. You’re not alone in this college search process. Our admissions team and campus community are here to support you and help you explore all the exciting possibilities for your future. Our Virtual Fall Open House Events are an excellent opportunity for you to meet our Wildcat Family from the comfort of your digital device!

Our Virtual Fall Open House Events are designed with you in mind. These interactive sessions bring the full Wildcat experience—live from our residential campus in beautiful seacoast New Hampshire—right to you. Our staff, faculty, and current students are excited to come together and share with you what we love about our Wildcat Community. From the admissions process, to financing your UNH education, to what’s happening here on campus with our exceptional academic opportunities for undergraduate students and innovative research, you’ll truly be able to immerse yourself in our Wildcat spirit at our Virtual Fall Open House Events.

When you attend Open House through our online format, you’ll hear directly from our admissions team about what to expect in the application review process. You’ll learn about UNH’s commitment to affordability with information about the financial aid process and the types of assistance available. You’ll hear directly from our faculty and current students about the exceptional opportunities inside—and outside—the classroom. Most importantly, you’ll have an opportunity to ask any questions you might have and engage in an enriching conversation.

Our current students will show you what life is like as a Wildcat when you join them for a livestream campus tour. During your livestream tour on Instagram, your tour guide will be stopping to answer your questions and share their perspective and experiences.

You might be wondering, with so many dates to choose from, how do I decide what session to register for? You can register for one session or every session! The University of New Hampshire has five colleges that comprise the University—the College of Liberal Arts, the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture, the College of Health and Human Services, and the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences—and each college division has a dedicated Virtual Fall Open House date. You can attend the Open House events for the colleges you want to learn more about. If you are not sure yet what you want to study, we encourage you to attend multiple sessions, so you can learn more about the majors and academic opportunities within each college. For students who are not yet ready to commit to a specific major, it’s important to know each college offers an undeclared program.

As you prepare for the Virtual Fall Open House Events, I have a few parting tips on how to make the most of your Open House Experience.

1. Register Early! This will begin to allow you to prepare any questions you might have for our admissions staff, faculty, and current students.

2. Engage in the Conversation! Our campus community is so excited to get to know you. We want to make sure that you have access to the information that matters to you.

3. Stay Connected! Remember that we are here to support you throughout your college search process.

Please know, we sincerely cannot wait to meet you and continue to work with you. We look forward to seeing you at our Virtual Fall Open House Events!
