Parking on campus

First-year students living in a residence hall cannot bring their cars to campus. Parking is at a premium and we provide excellent access to public transportation around campus and to neighboring towns and Boston. Local businesses not affiliated with UNH rent parking spaces. Planes, trains, and automobiles

UNH buses run both on campus and between UNH and the neighboring towns of Portsmouth, Newmarket, and Dover and are free with your student ID. The Downeaster Amtrak train offers quick transportation to North Station in Boston, MA, and to Portland, ME. The C&J Trailways bus service leaves from Durham to Boston’s South Station and there is a shuttle from South Station to Logan Airport. The Manchester, NH, airport is 40 minutes away; Boston Logan Airport is just over an hour away. Learn more at:

Boarding horses

Students who want to board their horses on or near campus have a few options. The UNH horse barns accept new horses to board every year on a first come first served basis, or you may contact neighboring farms for availability. Contact the UNH stable manager at 603-862-0027 for more information.
