How to Enroll and Select Housing/Dining Options at UNH


A deposit is required to secure your enrollment at UNH. On-campus housing is optional. There are two easy ways to enroll at UNH:

  • Pay online at MyUNH via E-check
  • Or, pay by check via postal mail.

UNH does not accept credit card payments.

Payment is due by May 1, or the date indicated on your bill.

Late payments will be considered on a space-available basis.


To Pay Online via MyUNH

  1. Log in to your MyUNH account at: http://myunh.unh.edu
  2. Select the "Enrollment/Housing/Dining" Link
  3. Follow the application instructions
  4. Select your housing and dining preferences
  5. On the "Summary and Payment" page, scroll down and follow the button "Pay Online via E-Check"
  6. Complete your enrollment by paying the indicated online deposit payment amount via our E-Check Payment Portal


To Pay via the Parent Portal

  1. Log into the parent portal account
  2. Follow the link "Student Account & Student Bill - Payments & Deposits"
  3. Select the "Deposit" tab
  4. Click the Enrollment/Housing Deposit button
  5. Follow the on-screen directions
  6. Complete your student's enrollment by paying the indicated online deposit payment amount via our E-Check Payment Portal


To Pay via Postal Mail

To Enroll and Guarantee On-Campus Housing

Using the blue envelope you received with your acceptance letter, mail the top portion of your deposit bill and a $500 check with your name and the last 4 digits of your social security number written clearly at the top to: University of New Hampshire Business Services, Stoke Hall, 11 Garrison Avenue, Durham, NH 03824-3511.


To Enroll WITHOUT On-Campus Housing

Important: If you choose to enroll without reserving on-campus housing, you may not request it at a later time.

Using the blue envelope you received with your acceptance letter, mail the top portion of your deposit bill and a $300 check with your name and the last 4 digits of your social security number written clearly at the top to: University of New Hampshire Business Services, Stoke Hall, 11 Garrison Avenue, Durham, NH 03824-3511.


Enrollment Deposit Refunds


A request for an enrollment deposit refund must be made in writing, either by using the Withdrawal/Refund Card enclosed with your acceptance letter, or by email/postal letter to the University of New Hampshire, Office of Admissions, 4 Garrison Avenue, Durham, NH 03824.

The amount of your refund is determined by the date we receive your request for cancellation:

  • If we receive your request before June 1 your refund amount will be $150.
  • If your request is received between the dates of June 1 and August 15 your refund amount will be $75.
  • No portion of the enrollment deposit is refundable if requested after August 15.

Housing Deposit Refunds


All cancellations and requests for housing deposit refunds must be made in writing, either by using the Withdrawal/Refund Card enclosed with your acceptance letter, or by email/postal letter to the University of New Hampshire Department of Housing, 10 College Road, Durham, NH 03824.

The amount of your refund is determined by the date we receive your request for cancellation:

  • If we receive your request before June 1 your refund amount will be $100.
  • If your request is received between the dates of June 1 and July 1 your refund amount will be $50.
  • No portion of the enrollment deposit is refundable if requested after July 1.


Spring 2008 Admitted First Year Students


No deposit is required for transfer students admitted for Spring 2008. Please follow the instructions that accompanied your letter of admission.
