Financial Aid

The first step towards receiving financial aid is to submit the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1, 2008. Your application must be received, not postmarked, by March 1. UNH Title IV code is 002589. To submit the FAFSA on-line, visit www.fafsa.ed.gov. For further financial aid information, visit www.unh.edu/financial-aid or call 603-862-3600 during regular business hours (M-F 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

If you have applied for financial aid, you may easily access your Financial Aid information from MyUNH.

  1. Go to the Webcat/Student Services tab and click “Continue”
  2. Select “Student Services & Financial Aid
  3. Select “Financial Aid.”

MyUNH provides valuable information about the status of your financial aid application and, when all requirements are met, your actual financial aid package.

Some recipients of financial aid may be required to submit tax returns to complete a process called “Verification.” (The federal government requires that 30 percent of FAFSAs have their information verified by a random selection.) You will be notified by the federal processor if this applies to you.

Please be sure UNH is indicated on your FAFSA; if it is not, you can add it later by calling the federal processor.
