Group Tour Information Page

Thank you for your interest in the University of New Hampshire! We encourage groups to visit our quintessential New England campus, located in Durham New Hampshire. Please review the following information before making a group tour request.

Volunteer students lead each tour group, and in order to coordinate with these students, we need at least 2 weeks prior notice to arrange a group tour visit. We can accommodate groups of upto 50. If your group exceeds this number, please request more than one day to visit. If your group is smaller than ten people, it is possible to join the regularly scheduled tour time.

On the tour we typically visit a room in the residence hall, the Whittemore Center/Hamel Recreation Center, a classroom/academic building, library, student union, and a dining hall. If you have an interest in visiting other areas of campus please indicate that on the request form, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Please ensure that your students will be respectful of the tour guide and the campus community. Our guides are student volunteers and deserve your group’s undivided attention. To this end, we ask that one chaperone is present for every twenty students.

A visit to the dining hall is often a highlight of the UNH experience. We offer a discounted rate to our tour groups of $6.80 per person (NOTE: Price will change 7/1/08). Please provide the cashier one check (made out to UNH dining) for $6.80 times the total number of people eating, or pay with a Visa or MasterCard. The recently renovated Stillings Dining Hall is host to tour groups.

For the 2007-08 academic year,

  • We offer guided tours of campus, most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
  • Spring 2008 tours are available from Monday, January 28 until Friday, May 9, 2008.
  • Please note that we are unable to accommodate group visit requests for the month of April.
