Application Deadlines
Applying for Fall Semester:
Early Action - November 15
Early Action offers students with a strong interest in UNH the opportunity to receive a admission decision earlier in the process, by the end of January. Students admitted during Early Action have until May 1 to enroll at the University of New Hampshire. Early action applicants must take the SAT or ACT by no later than the December test date.
UNH’s early action deadline is November 15. For those students living in areas impacted (e.g., extended power outages, flooding, property damage, etc.) by Hurricane Sandy, we are extending our deadline until November 29th. If you are applying after our November 15th EA deadline, you must send us an email (admissions@unh.edu) immediately after you apply with your name, address and birthdate, indicating that you would like to be considered as an EA applicant. We won’t consider you an EA applicant if we don’t receive this email.
Applicants who apply for need-based financial aid and are offered admission in January will not be notified of any aid awards until March.
Early Action decision outcomes include: admission to UNH; deferral of the final decision until after another review in the Regular Decision process; or denial of admission.
Regular Decision - February 1
Applicants who apply under this option will receive an admission decision from us by early April and must have taken the SAT and/or ACT no later than the January test date.
Regular Decision outcomes include: admission to UNH (students must accept or refuse our offer by May 1); denial of admission; assignment to a waitlist, which will include candidates to whom additional offers of admission may be extended if space permits.
Applying for Spring Semester 2013:
Regular Decision - October 15* - (*Extended to Novemeber 15, 2012: Does not include international applicants)
Applicants who apply regular decision will receive an admission decision by early to mid-December.
