Standardized Testing

All applicants to UNH are required to take the following:

  • The Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I) or the examination of the American College Testing Program (ACT). Test results must be sent directly from the College Board or the American College Testing Program to UNH. Scores will not be accepted as official if sent by the applicant or the high school via the transcript.
  • The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is highly encouraged for foreign students for whom English is not their primary language.

Please note: All testing must be completed by January of the senior year in high school. If standardized testing is repeated, the Admissions Committee only considers your highest scores. Information and test registration forms may be obtained from your high school guidance office or by writing to the College Board or the American College Testing Program.

UNH's College Board number is 3918, and the ACT code number is 2524.
